Feet can reveal things about our personality in regards to how we deal with life. When it comes to the structure of feet, good, healthy feet have three points of contact with the ground and a good arch. The three points of contact consist of the heel, the ball below the big toe (medial side), and the ball below the small toe (lateral side). Let’s take, for example, the case of someone with flat feet. Flat feet can indicate someone who is ungrounded in relation to the world. This person may slide along, unrooted, and not able to stand still. This can be indicative of a person with a lot of motion and a lack of stability. This can sometimes be seen on people considered to be "pushovers." In the same way, rigid, contracted feet can disrupt the flow of energy and contact with the earth, therefore, making the person feel ungrounded. Another example to look at are tippytoers. It can be said that this may be an expression of someone who is concerned or uncertain about how others feel towards them. They are careful about their contact with reality. These people are the ones that walk on “eggshells.” On another note, these people can also be highly creative and imaginative, they can be dreamers, and may also have artistic abilities. The way that we move through life, our contact with reality, our sense of direction, support, stability, and knowing where we stand can be seen expressed through our feet.
